The Plus Four is one of the most engaging to drive and historically significant cars that Morgan has ever produced, and now’s your chance to win one of your very own. The all-new model is being given away as one of only three once–in–a–lifetime prizes during the BBC’s The Big Night In appeal, a joint event between Comic Relief and Children in Need, which is raising funds to help the coronavirus relief effort. The competition is open to anyone 18 years old or over and runs from the announcement during the show, which aired at 7pm on 23 April, until 2pm on 30 April 2020.
How to enter
Entry to the prize draw is by texting the keyword CAR to short code 81155. Text messages cost your standard network message charge (based on your service provider rates – please check with your provider). Entrants will then receive a free bounce-back message from 62345 informing them that a voluntary donation of £10 to The Big Night In will be taken 60 minutes after the entry text was received, unless they reply to 62345 with the word CANCEL before 60 minutes has passed. The Morgan Plus Four, worth £62,995 before options, has been donated to the appeal by the Morgan Motor Company. The firm’s Chairman and CEO, Steve Morris, said: “We are all aware of the devastating impact the current situation is having around the world, particularly on those most vulnerable in our society. I’m delighted that the Morgan Motor Company is able to support the relief effort, as part of ‘The Big Night In’ appeal, with the donation of a brand-new Morgan Plus Four.”
The prize includes the chance to choose the exact specification of the car alongside Morgan’s renowned team of designers, as well as a private tour of the Morgan factory for the winner and their friends and family – once current social distancing restrictions are lifted – to see exactly how a Morgan is handcrafted by its skilled craftsmen and women. On top of all this, Morgan will pay towards the winner’s first year of tax and insurance on the car, along with servicing for two years.
The Big Night In saw the BBC’s biggest charitable partners, Comic Relief and BBC Children in Need, join forces for the very first time with a live star-studded show to help raise funds and celebrate acts of kindness. The show aimed to unite the nation with an evening of incredible entertainment and stories of those going the extra mile to support their communities in these troubled times.
The money raised through the Morgan Plus Four prize will be split between Comic Relief and Children in Need and will go on to support a variety of charities and projects in the UK, so they can continue to provide vital emergency support to those affected by the current crisis. This includes making sure people are safe from harm, mentally healthy and with access to food, warmth and shelter; as well as helping people stay connected, active and positive through these extraordinary times.
