The Archive Room is Morgan’s all-new interactive museum based at the Morgan Experience Centre. Explore the incredible history of one of the world’s most unique automotive manufacturers, and look through the genuine archives dating back to the 19th Century. From original parts fitted to the first vehicles, press cuttings from the dawn of the company through to HFS Morgan’s own Leica camera and more recent artefacts, the collection of archive material is brought to life in a room-length cabinet and floor to ceiling projections.
Each projection is dedicated to a certain subject, and displays incredible archive images and easily digestible facts and anecdotes.
The Archive Room is open in-line with the Morgan Experience Centre opening times, and entry is included with all guided factory tours, which appropriately finish in The Archive Room. Visitors are welcome to spend as much time as they wish exploring the exhibits.
The Archive Room is available to hire for events. Please contact Morgan Experience ([email protected]) for more information.
"THE ARCHIVE ROOM IS MORGAN'S ALL-NEW INTERACTIVE MUSEUM EXPERIENCE"
An Interactive Experience
The Archive Room is designed to be appealing and engaging to visitors of all ages and interests. Whether you’re a lifelong Morgan aficionado looking to brush up on your knowledge, or a newcomer to the Morgan brand looking to understand how the company was started. Each artefact is celebrated and positioned in a fully lit cabinet, culminating in a true celebration of the Morgan brand.
And it’s not all about history, The Design and Engineering section of The Archive Room demonstrates how Morgan has evolved, and how it will continue to evolve its design and engineering functions. A “Design your Morgan” section features templates, a lightbox drawing desk and pencils — and helps to educate children (and adults) on the basic principles of automotive design — in turn inspiring the next generation of budding car designers and engineers.
112 Years of Morgan Models
It’s not just artefacts and archive items on display in The Archive Room, the cars are the real stars of the show! At least seven cars are on display, continually rotated to ensure returning visitors will see something different each time.
From the earliest examples of Morgan’s celebrated three-wheeler, the earliest flat-rad models, period race cars, all-important Aero models, platform displays and future concept cars, a full and eclectic mix of Morgan’s history is on display.
